PROFILE

Just to put this straight, Photography is a hobby to me and not even a precocious one, since I bumped into the first camera when I was 24 already.
Even though I was dealing with a cheap camera, I dared going to Montecarlo on purpose to watch the F1 Grand Prix and take photos to those racing cars from the stands.
Now It makes me smile when I look back at those pictures, but every once in a while a shoot made me happy and it was something I could be proud of and “brag” with my friends.
Photography at that time was secondary to my first passion, that had to mainly deal with ENGINES: since I was a little kid I was literally bewitched by them. This passion in the long run turned out to be my main occupation, my profession.
I found myself more and more involved in the working environment I always dreamed of, and while I was looking for a different way of living up the events linked to the races, there you go again… my camera shows up! It the meanwhile it became digital though…
After owning one of the very first digital Sony (I mean the one that came with the floppy disc), in 2001 I get to buy an Olympus compact camera.
In 2005 I fly to Brands Hatch “escorted” by a Nikon Coolpix 5700 camera (in the meanwhile “she” had already spent the Superbike Italian rounds with me) and I get to shoot some publishing worthy pictures, also thanks to the nice perfect circuit layout.
In 2006 I finally decide to buy the camera that allows me to get to the next level… the purchase was also due to the fact that the reflex cameras had reached a more affordable price for an amateur.
All along came a Nikon D50 camera provided with two lenses. Quite unexpectedly In Misano I found a pass “track” on my neck, that allows the access to the pit lane. What I first did was going straight to Del Carro turn, trying to figure out how to make this way fast machines looking good on paper. I come back home sure not to find even one decent take….but in the end I had to change my mind….
Now I have to find a way to get that pass for the next races… the solution was searching for somebody that believed in my skills and could publish my photos
In this very moment my partnership with Mondo Ducati Magazine begins and I get to shoot the whole Superbike Worldchampioship’s Season for them. In August 2007 I also found myself focusing my lenses on Stoner, Rossi and Co, having just being accredited as Official Photographer also in MotoGp at the Brno round.
Season 2008 opens with the long-dreamed-of- trip to Philip Island circuit and with the Nurburgring round came also a new professional camera, Nikon D300
In May, same year, I gave birth to my personal website, at that time totally selfmade. Serious matters related to my family forced me to gave up to the second part of the Season, but Season 2009 brings up big changes.
Considering also the technical point of view, two professional lenses and new accessories are included in my equipment, giving me the freedom to create so far technically impossible shoots.
My takes start to show up more and more and not exclusively on Mondo Ducati.
The consequences of the scary accident at the Monza circuit end up on Gazzetta dello Sport and on other magazines of the related field.
In June one of my takes becomes Motorsprint cover; also some takes published on Motorsprint website are mine.
At the end of the season my name appears in the Ducati Yearbook very close to the best race photographers, this being a great satisfaction to me.
Season 2010 is about to start: I made a further effort to make sure my equipment was a professional one in every detail: I added one more zoom lens and the newest flash on the market.
Also the website has been remodeled matching the highest professional standards.
